An unwanted call from this Fillmore VOIP number arrived today. When the answering machine picked up, a female voice (possibly recorded) stated, "This is Carly, your trip advisor. Can you hear me OK?"
Folks, this is a familiar scam to trick the recipient into replying "Yes", enabling the caller to obtain credit cards in the recipient's name based on that magic word, "Yes." Don't fall for it!
Scammers like these (who deserve a trip to the greybar hotel) are the reason you should always LET YOUR ANSWERING MACHINE TAKE THEIR PATHETIC CALLS.
