Same exact thing as everyone has been commenting. Caller from 844-854-5524 Some guy with an accent and stating there is case against you, you have not paid correctly between 2008-2012. Someone has to stop these criminals and report them to IRS or FBI.

Very thick accent stated to call back immediately before I got into trouble. When I called back they wanted to know what number was I calling from. Never could get past that. IRS does not make calls but sends letters.

Yep they tried to get me to. I was called from 844-854-5524. I did not give them any info and turned the questions on them. I asked them why they called my parents house that I havent lived in for 20 years? I asked why they did not contact me by mail first? He said they sent 2 certified letters to an old address. I told him it sure is funny that the IRS wouldnt look at my last tax return to get all my proper info. I got hung up on. So, I called back another guy (presumably the same) with a heavy Indian accent answered. I said "WOW!, this is amazing I get the only 2 guys Martin Hall and Richard Hill at the IRS with heavy Indian accents and cant understand me" I told him nice try trying to scam me. He thanked me and hung up.

caller claim they are calling from legal dept of internal revenue services. When I call the number its just a busy line.

Left a msg on home phone that they were calling from legal dept of IRS. When I phoned back they said an affidavit had been filed with the local county sheriff (which I called) for arrest if I did not take care of tax fraud. Claimed there were unpaid taxes from an "audit of my taxes between 2008-2012". Claimed sent two certified letters on 2/15 and 3/15 that were returned. This was final warning to work out prior to my arrest TODAY. I requested to speak to supervisor or someone that spoke English - they got irritated. I asked who I needed to contact at sheriff's office and they said to call back the same number (LOL!) and ask for Mr. William Rece Badge #89681. So I did...same Indian accent answered and pretended to be from sheriff's office. I'm guessing they are trying to get information to steal your identity or your money - BEWARE!! Call your local sheriff's office if you are in doubt to confirm. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION! These people need to be shot!
