A call from "Clearinghouse Publishers sweepstakes"....said something about Clearwater. They congratulated me saying that I was entered into their sweepstakes as a Visa or Mastercard holder that will be drawn on 12/31. Told me that I will be receiving 5 magazine subscriptions for an "optional" $4.60 a week for 60 months. I asked if I will be receiving this information in the mail, the rep said yes. He also said that they'll send me a diamond ladies or mens quartz watch. I was also to expect a call from their manager to confirm my information. I received a call from (920)-471-0860 (a Wisconsin #)about 45 min later. Didn't pick up.

I was hung up on right after i asked them why they had been calling me so much . she said "Ma;am ive only called you one time today" i said "No ive gotten several calls this morning and other days" and she hung up . this was right after confirming my age and address. i Would like to know what is going on.

This is the 6th call I've received from them over a few days time. I answered last night and was told I was entered into a sweepstakes for $1M because I had a Visa, Mastercard or American Express. When I told the woman that I didn't have a credit card she stated that I must have a bank card then, and I confirmed I did. They didn't ask for any other information other than to confirm my address, but said they would be sending 3 magazines and a diamond and quartz watch.
Today I get 2 more calls from them, I answered the second and asked the woman's name, it was Tricia, I asked for a last name and she wouldn't provide it. She tried going into the same schtick, but then I asked the name of the company, and she stated that they were in Clearwater FL and said the name. I didn't understand what she said so I asked again, still didn't understand and asked her to spell it. She became agitated and said she had already told me 3 times, so I asked again and this time I understood it as Gulf Bay Inc.
I then asked for the address. She said she didn't know, I would have to call back. I said "you don't know?" and she said she just started. I then asked to speak with somebody there that would know the address and she hung up on me.
Don't know what the scam is because they never asked for CC# or payment for anything, but it's a scam of some sort.

Said I was enter in Sweepstake for 1 million and something about ladies or men's watch thing is she didn't ask for my address. Oh yeah something about magazine subscription, I told her I didn't know how to read. Then she ask what kind of hobbies I had and I was very vage on what I said. I will be putting them on my do not call list with my carrier of my cell phone.
