This company calls here CONSTANTLY, sometimes 3-5 times a day, EVERY DAY. Sperian Energy. It doesn't matter if you tell them not to ever call you again and to remove your number from their calling list. I've told them at least 5 times not to call and to remove our number. One woman told me that I had to not pick up the phone when they call and that removes your number from their computer dialing. I can guarantee you that doesn't work. When I see their number on caller id I don't pick up and they still keep calling.

One of the male callers told me that I had to take their lower prices because he could see that we haven't been paying our electric bills and I told him that he was lying. He asked if we were getting government assistance. I told him, again, to remove us from their calling list and to not ever call again. Guess what? They're still calling here. I got ANOTHER call this morning and went through the whole thing again with a woman. She said she didn't have the authority to remove us from the list. I asked to speak to a supervisor, who she said was unavailable. They said they can keep calling here because they said MetEd buys their electric from Sperian, so we're already getting their electric.

This number called twice recently and hung up as soon as I answered. If this is Sperian, the hangup may be a result of the tactics I took with them on a prior call. Actually I treated them as I do all telemarketers - I keep them on the line as long as possible, feed them any bogus information I think they will accept, express interest in whatever they are pushing, and generally try to waste as much of their time (and thus money) as possible. This is much more effective and satisfying than just hanging up or not answering...

The call came up as unknown name. The caller said he was calling from Sperian Energy and that they were an energy supplier. The caller repeatedly argued with me when I asked them to remove my number from their list. He had an aggressive and seemingly impatient tone. He only cooperated after I asked them why they were calling me when I was on the do-not-call list and he responded with an attitude that I perceived to be hostile. Given this experience, I would not value this as a trustworthy company. Legitimate professionals generally do not choose to behave in this manner.
