continues to call back to back calls and when I ask him for information on the company that I am suppose to owe money to he gets very defensive. Continues to call me after I have asked him numerous times to STOP!!!!

This scam has involved 3 extensions at our NYS agency and has tied up half a dozen people in investigating it and attempted defenses against the caller. The robot calls have left well over 300 voicemails in a 24 hr period. The caller at first called a single employee, but then started calling a second extension that the employee used to have, and simply asks for the employee. The automated calls come in so fast that you cant answer them fast enough, filling 3 lines we have assigned to each extension. The 2nd extension involved had over 220 voicemails left, most just dead air, but others consisting of a woman with an Indian accent who is obviously reading the following from a script: "name - I know you are there. Just call me back and resolve this matter. What about my companys money? I dont know why you are trying to run off on this matter. Just call me back on my unintelligible number. The number is 857-403-1457. Again, that is 857-403-1457. So just give me a call and resolve this matter. If you do not call me back, you are in unintelligible we will call you at work to resolve this matter. To have a great day just give me a call right now." When hours of that nonsense didnt work, the caller then dropped back to the route extension and began harassing the employee who answers that phone by asking for the first employee. We are reaching out to our phone provider, who has requested a a police report, and are now working with the local police department. There is no debt owed and this is simply a scam to extort money from the victim by harassment, intimidation, and embarrassment.

857-403-1457 call, blow up lines, asked for an employee that doesn't work there. keeps harassing, don't know what they want. called windstream their phone company to report them and they already know about it, say to call the local cops. obviously they don't care enough to shut down their lines, they should be held personally responsible as they are turning their back on this illegal behavior. put a complain on the FCC website and will continue. If you goolgle them there are 100's of complaints going back a really long time. i'm pretty sure they are no in the US, what kind of country do we live in that allows this?
