Caller asked me to participate in a 3 question survey to receive a $20 Verizon Wireless statement credit. I participated until he asked to verify my account with the last 4 numbers of my social security number. I called Verizon directly, and they stated that they don't offer credits nor do they ask for social security numbers.

This guy had a really thick accent, barely intelligible. He said he was from Verizon, had three stupid survey questions, and then said I was eligible for a $25 check for participating. He ask my zip code and then the last 4 digits of my SSN. I gave him a phony, and when he asked for verification, I told him no, that's not it b/c I don't trust the call. He asked why and then hung up.

Caller said he was from AT&T Wireless. When I said I don't have AT&T Wireless, he *instantly* hung up. Phsishing...no doubt.
