Called my place of employment and said it was urgent I called. Gave them a number for me to give them. When I called he said I had a debt and he wanted to talk to my attorney. Would not say where the debt was from but that it was a serious matter and I was in real trouble and about to be charged. Was indignant when I asked him questions. I hung up and he called back leaving a message that I would face serious consequences if i didn't call back. I have no outstanding debts. I did not call back. Am so bummed that now he has my phone number.

Called and stated I was going to be served Monday with papers from a credit card debt in 2009. Refused to give me an address for the company. Told me it was my job to find it. Looked up Ellis Merritt and debt collector on Google and numerous warnings that it was a scam came up.
