The caller was an older man with a slight Southern twang saying the call was concerning a criminal investigation and my phone number had been implicated in this investigation. He said it was imperative that I call him back. There was a lot of background voices and noise like you might hear in a police station so if this was a scam, they had gone to great lengths to make it sound real!
I have not called him back and am hoping he will call again because the next time I will let the answering machine take it. I want my husband to hear this! If it is a crank call as I suspect, I will block it from bothering me again.
