They have called three times now, once yesterday (12-9) and twice today (12-10), both calls were only an hour apart. They are claiming that if I do not call them back within 24 hours the IRS is going to levee a lien against my SSN. They also want me to reference a number when I call them. I have contacted my CPA and she has advised me to NOT call them back and to definitely not answer any questions they ask or give personal information to them if I do answer when they call. She firmly believes that this is a scam of some sort. She also has told me that if the National or State government is going to levee a lien or has any issue with your tax ID number, you will be contacted through the mail, not by phone or email. Please, be careful!

Just received a call from them said I had litigations pending from the local clerk of district court and if I don't contact them immediately they are going to proceed. Gave me a reference number also.
This has to be a scam, I work at the district courts!
