Impersonated Yahoo Customer support. told me that my yahoo mail account was taken over by someone outside of US. Wanted $500 to clean up my PCs and my wireless network. They also wanted a check, not a credit card payment.
I called Yahoo on their 408 area code number to verify this toll-free phone number and Yahoo assured me that this phone number is not Yahoo plus Yahoo does not do clean out services on PC and networks.
