I received a call last week from a comapany saying they have papers they need to serve me and need to contact me. I called them and stupidly paid the amount owed. After that i am still recieving calls from "unknown" with the same vm saying they have papers and need to talk to me. Today i called the other number back, and they have no record of me paying the amount last week. And told me if i don't pay them $1000 by 2:30 today for a payday loan taken out back in 2006 they are going to arrest me and send me to criminal court for writing bad checks. what should i do?
