This company preys on the computer illiterate and other unsuspecting individuals. They called a friend of mine, who is elderly, and too trusting. They give the typical baloney sales pitch intended to scare the user by stating their computer is infected, and we need to fix it now. My friend gave them remote access, and they installed a program that began scanning her computer. Who knows what else they were doing - stealing files, trying to get personal passwords, trying to steal identity information.
She called me while the computer was running a scan. I told her to turn it off, and disconnect these idiots immediately. She did. We restarted the computer and it asked for a windows login password they set up. I am going to have to fix this in person - no big deal, but a hassle. I advise her do not take these calls again, hang up immediately!
These guys are a fraud, we tried to call them back to ask for the password and they hung up on us. Nice!
Bottom line is they need to be shut down! This has to stop! I do not yet know what other malware they put on her computer or what data may have been compromised, while they accessed her machine. They all have a foreign accent and are overseas, website says Hong Kong. Who knows who they are, the bottom line is they are scamming scum and should be avoided like the plague! Just look at their shitty website, if that doesn't scream scam I don't know what does!
