Fight back! I have a Digitone 10 Call Blocker. I just read the posts above so I added this number to my Digitone blocked call list. Call Blocker does not ring at all for callers with no number listed (“out of area”, “private caller”, OPX....). Caller ID identifies the call after the first ring. I will no longer hear the phone ring for this number because I put Call Blocker on the base phone, which is in an out of the way room where I don't even hear the first ring (or turn off the ringer on the base phone). Digitone then blocks subsequent calls after the first ring and I never hear a thing. I researched call blockers on the internet and the Digitone 10 seems to be the only one that can block the call and have the phone make no noise whatsoever (no clicks or other noises). I paid $100 and it's worth every penny. You can block up to 80 numbers. By the time you get to 80 you can start deleting old numbers because the fraud/telemarketer s.o.b.s will have changed their number anyway. After 3 years of use I have learned that only about 30% of these callers ever call back. So keep a log of the numbers and block them if they call a second time. Delete numbers that have not called in 3 months because most of them change their numbers. If you do this, 80 blocked numbers should be plenty.
