An aggresive caller pretending to be a government official from US Treasury Dept. Left a v/mail saying we were behind in taxes and urgently needed to call back. He further stated he was about to send out police officers to arrest us unless we settled our outstanding taxes of $5,300. As an "Enforcement Officer" he could reduce them if we immediately paid... Called our Accountant who dismissed this and confirmed he had been called several times by clients about these calls. Called the above number back and challenged the guy. He put the phone down. These scammers are disgusting human beings feeding off stressed and vulnerable people. Also consulted with local police Dept who were aware of this scam.

ROBOCALL ON LOOP. male with HISPANIC ACCENT IN BADLY FORMULATED, AMATEURISH, LEGALISTIC PATTER THREATENING IRS, TREASURY DPT. CHARGES - CALL IMMEDIATELY! CLEARLY TARGETING IGNORANT OLD PEOPLE, NEW IMMIGRANTS UNFAMILIAR WITH US LAW, OR JUST VULNERABLE, UNINFORMED CITIZENS. I WISH A FEDERAL SCAM SQUAD WOULD SET THESE GUYS UP AND SHUT THEM DOWN PERMANENTLY. THEY ARE SUCCEEDING WITH VICTIMS OR THEY WOULD NOT KEEP TRYING.
