Received a message on our machine asking for my husband. Caller had an Indian accent and called himself Leonard James and said he was calling from the Dept. of Legal Affairs US Treasury and wanted us or our attorney call him back or we would be in legal trouble with our taxes. Knowing we were current with our taxes, I researched the web for scams. I found many different websites with people having had the same experience. Also found out that sometimes these parasites even know the last four digits of your social security number. You can visit the government website http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtmlIRS and fill out the Impersonation Scam Reporting form if you want to report it. According to an article I found, http://www.ktvn.com/story/27788780/irs-watch-out-for-tax-scams, they have apparently been investigating this scam since at least 2013.
