I called back, man with Pakistani accent answered with "Department of Legal Affairs." This is a scam. US Givt works via certified mail and 800 numbers.

Got the same call - from Danny Archer at Dept of Legal Affairs with the US Treasury stating there was "an enforcement action started in your name." He called from (547) 559-0000 but told me to call him back at (202) 821-1155. He was obviously reading a script and had an accent. Totally a scam!

Caller ID showed up as "Anna Sanchez" with this number. My wife ignored it because we've been getting a lot of soliciting calls. A man with a heavy foreign accent started to leave a message asking for me by name. She picked it up and he stated he was "Jeff Thomas" with the Department of Legal Affairs with the US Treasury and that it was very important that I call him back immediately at this number because I was in trouble. He hasn't called back again, yet.

Got the same exact call. Left a message on my cell phone. Could hear a lot of telemarketer type noise in the background. He also ended with Have A Blessed Day!!!! Told me he was from the treasury department and his name was Jake Tyler. Said a law enforcement action as been started on my name. phone number 202 697 9145. Hindu accent.

Received a message on our machine asking for my husband. Caller had an Indian accent and called himself Leonard James and said he was calling from the Dept. of Legal Affairs US Treasury and wanted us or our attorney call him back or we would be in legal trouble with our taxes. Knowing we were current with our taxes, I researched the web for scams. I found many different websites with people having had the same experience. Also found out that sometimes these parasites even know the last four digits of your social security number. You can visit the government website http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtmlIRS and fill out the Impersonation Scam Reporting form if you want to report it. According to an article I found, http://www.ktvn.com/story/27788780/irs-watch-out-for-tax-scams, they have apparently been investigating this scam since at least 2013.

Woman with heavy Indian accent claiming to be Karen Gibbs left message from"dept of legal affairs Us Treasury" said I will be in big mess if I don't call her...LOL then she ended with "have a blessed day" which is not politically correct for a government agency. Phone number is 202-821-1155 and 0055. Washington number so seemed like they got their numbers right anyway :)

I also had a phone call from them this morning phone number 559-8365820 from Hanford. CA.
A T Martin, phone call very broken up. A man with an India accent. When I called back he told me he wanted my information and that he was from the Dept of Legal Affairs US Treasury.
I told him he already had my phone# so he should have known who I was, and I wasnt prepared to give him more than my phone#. He put the phone down on me. I called back to him twice, but his phone was engaged. Now he is calling back again. Left the same recorded message.

Caller claimed that a legal case had been opened against me and that I should call him back or have an attorney call. If I did not I would be in a big legal mess. Heavy accent. Called back after hours and the voice message is also very heavily accented and hard to understand. Obvious scam.

Received a voice mail from this person who said if I don't contact him there could be legal issues. He has a very strong accent and basically threatens that he is warning us. This jerk needs to be stopped!

This SCAMMER has been calling 2-3 times a daily for the past 2 weeks. (909)440-9693 It's the same Indian voice, deep accent giving me different names, Tom, Jerry and Trey. He says he is calling from Dept of Legal Affairs US Treasury. They demand to speak to specific person and it's a legal issue. I have repeat told this foreigner he is scamming and stop calling me. So today, after the 2nd call from him today, I decided to repeat call back to him. Lot's of back ground noise which he is in a call center. He got mad at me repeat calling him back, saying I was keeping him from doing his job. I told him his job is scamming people. He kept hanging up so I called him again. I ask him how does this feel repeat phone harrassement. He then spit out a ton of profanity and hung up on me again. BIG SCAM - Reporting to FCC, FTC and Attorney General.

I received another call today and decided to return the call this time I spoke with "Chris" who was "Robert Morgan's" "para legal" and he wanted me to call back in fifteen minutes because Mr Morgan was in a meeting with the police. I asked for a case number and he hung up. I called back and he answered again and hung up again. I called a third time and Mr. Morgan answered, but sounded like the same guy that hung up on me twice before. I told him I was a lawyer and wanted a case number for the action being taken against nme for back taxes. I told him I was not delinquent with any taxes. He asked if my middle initial was C and it is not. He then asked for the last four digits of my SSN and I laughed. He then asked if I was located in New York and I told him there was no one in New York with my name. He apologized for having the wrong number and I told he did, but I had his and hung up

This is Jack Lewis with the Department of legal affairs looking forward to speak to you until then goodbye." note: Vikki Avalon is a fake name I only use online to sort out the bullshit! and the number he called is google voice number I only use online also. this is a major predatory scam.
