This is definitely a scam. They change numbers frequently and I block them each time. The call is actually completely automated. "James" or "Amy" call and ask for educational information (year graduated from high school, and zip code and address). One of the most helpful things you can do is give them fake information and find out what kinds of things they are looking for. They may call multiple times and try to extract more information each time. If they use fake information--eventually they will caught. If you have connections to the FBI, or the Federal Consumer Protection Agency--please file a formal complaint. At some point these people might be labeled "domestic terrorists" and get what they deserve.
