As an experienced victim of harassment by unwanted telemarketing and scammers...the Do Not Call list doesn't actually seem to stop anyone from calling anyway. I guess there must be some loopholes in that system. Telemarketing: Recordiing that wants you to hold for a "teleconference" if you want to make six figured or to take your number off the list. This first part is NOT a live person but a recording. I don't know if opting out will truly take your number off their list and I am sure that there are probably NO guarantees that they won't turn around and sell your number to other telemarketing lists, but I suppose you could try should you get to a live human being.
