I had the same thing happen to me except I didn't answer my phone. I saw your comment and immediately blocked the number and deleted the voice-mail. I am still trying to figure out how they got a hold of my number.

Called claiming I was in contempt, and was about to get charges filed for a civil matter, something about a check. Everytime I tried to find out what it was about, I was told I needed to give my information, and when I asked if it was a scam, I was hung up on. Tried to call back a few more times, and everytime I mentioned a scam. I got a dial tone.

This is a scam bill collector. They tell you you are in comtempt of a disposition and if you do not enter a statement on the persons behalf they are calling for then the person is in contempt and legal action will be taken, upon calling the number given in the voicemail message you are unable to reach the "employee" Arthur Abram director of processing department of check services 855-890-2982, they tell you the person that owes the "money" needs to give a credit card # to pay off their debt or they will go to jail.

Trying to get in touch with my son...calls ME twice a day even after I tell him my son does NOT live with me. He then asked for my sons work number, as he has litigation papers to serve him. I've asked that BOTH of my phone numbers be removed because my son has his information but when he tries to call this "John Hill" he can never reach him. BEWARE!
