I also received a letter from them... I'm glad I did my research I was getting ready to make a 500 dollar down payment and 50 dollars a month lol oh thank you lord for opening our eyes.

My mom just called me frantically saying she received this letter about a lawsuit for $10,000 and that it looked so official and was freaking out so I looked online and found this site. She had the same experience as everyone else here and when I looked up the address on Google Maps it was in a shopping center. Clearly NOT a real lawyer's office. We're very thankful for this website and everyone else posting their experience so we can confirm this is indeed a huge scam.

they told me they were taking legal action against me on a bill that has been taken care of. and a few months ago called me on a different billing matter saying they were a company called white and associates. I told them bring it on and see them in court and they hung up on me after telling me all about me beint a single mom and I need to teach my daughter to be more responsible than I am and to stop playing on their phone after numerous times calling them back due to them hanging up on me. They also knew my full name, address, social, and credit information. huge scammers

I received two calls today from 949-468-5087 and a message was left after the second call. On the message the ladies name was Elizabeth
Harrington calling from Chelsea and Associates and her call back number was 800-449-0097 Ext 111. They were looking for a name I did not recognize with my number and stated I had 24 hours to get back to them or further action would be taken. The said it was regarding an incident that had happened in WA and gave a case number. I returned the call from the number on my phone and was told they did not recognize my number or name and when I questioned their threat the lady got very rude and then hung up on me.

I also just received a call from "Chelsea and asociates" regarding a debt that is 10 years old. Im glad I did the research before giving away infirmation. Super scam!

These people have contacted me since 2012 and at first, I was scared about what this "lawsuit" was all about and it had to do with a credit card account from 2004 and by now, the account has been termed due to SOL (4 years). And after a lengthy phone call with them and their heartless actions/company, it left me to ponder and cause me to worry. Now here is 2014 and they start the band rolling again with another phone call/letter. This caused me to check them out via internet and lo and behold, I have seen LOTS of message board comments from other people and their experience with this group. My worry immediately turned to anger. If a time barred debt is a time barred debt-LET IT BE and leave us the HELL alone. What really infuriated me was when I checked one of my credit reports and found no collection action with THEIR name mentioned.
IMO, I think someone should have someone like David Goldstein of KCBS/KCAL investigate these people. This is EXTREMELY unfair to people in the same boat.

I received a letter in the mail from Chelsea and Associates on 30JAN14. I have no idea what it is in reference to, as I have recently checked on three credit reports, and the case number provided doesn't match anything I've fixed or had disputed. I have no idea who these people are. The letter informs me that I can have my wages garnished, my bank accounts levied, and my property placed in lien. I will not call them because I think it is a big scam, and I have already cleared nearly everything off my credit report, and the one thing left is hospital stuff, and I am pretty sure this does not relate to the hospital stuff, and the amounts are entirely different. Phone number on letter is 800 449 0097. Address is 4521 Campus Drive St. 282 Irvine California.

I received a letter fron Chelsea and Associates dated November 25, 2013 informing me that I owed over $10,000 and they would start a lawsuit against me, get a judgement etc.
I phoned the number on the letter, 714-449-0097, was passed around to other phones and then a guy answered. I gave him the case number on my letter and asked him who his clien was (who I allegedly owed money to ). He wouldn't answer me and then hung up on me. Nothing has happened since then.

I received a call from a person stating "Mr. James from Chelsea and associates " they never mentioned an exact address or name other than the phone number which showed on my cell caller id 800-395-7779. The call was harassing in a way that James threatened legal action and that they have a case number already against me and they will put me in jail. I didn't know what this was all about , so I called the number they left and the person that answered starting yelling at me about my attitude when I asked questions about the company information and he threatened to prosecute me and then hung up on me. The scary part they knew everything where I live, my work information, and my cell number and my social security number. I have done little research and found out that other people been harassed as you can see from this links below:

I have also reconciled the phones numbers from this company and found hundreds of results from 800-395-7779, 949-243-7886, 949-743-2688, 1-800-303-5033 and 714-380-3007 that are connected to the same persons' with different company names such as Chelsea and associates, Bam Financials LLC, Blackrock Asset Management LLC . I also know that Bam Financials LLC, and Chelsea and associates are located on address 4521 Campus Drive ste 282 Irvine Ca 92612 which turned to be an apartment complex. I have verified the company information with California state Secretary website with http://kepler.sos.ca.gov/ and received this information:
