A woman named Christy called my cell phone, from the number 443-594-2597. I was expecting a call from a business in that same area code, so I answered. I normally don't answer ANY phone numbers I don't recognize. The woman stated she was calling for Abc Xyz (I'll be using this name to replace the name of the person who she asked for, which is my elderly mother), and I told her this was the wrong number. She didn't respond or hang up, so I then asked who she was again, and she again told me her name (Christy) and mumbled the name of the company she's working for, but to me it almost sounded like the name of my mother's doctor. I again told her this was the wrong number, but I could get in touch with Abc Xyz if this was important. It was only then that she said "I work for an energy company. I would really like to help Abc Xyz out with her energy costs by getting some solar panels for her. But I don't have a number she can call me back on so I'll just take this number off her contact info and try to find another number for her". I said, "yes, please take my number off your list." And she responded "of course, but while I have you on the line, can you give me Abc Xyz's home phone number, address, email, birthdate and employer information?" So I immediately hung up. The only reason I stayed on the line so long was because I first thought it may be my mothers doctor, but once I realized it was a sales call, I stayed to attempt to remove my number from their list. This MUST be some sort of phishing scam... I can't believe she asked me for all of that info.

Yes, I just got this call for the first time today. Everything u wrote is what I was told, etc. I hung up too. I missed the call when they called me, I called back, to see who it is, to tell them wrong number/don't call again so I indeed pressed one, cuz first I wanted to see who/how they got my number and I was told same as u. I get so mad that my number gets used by spammers. I want my number protected by such people. I just went to the donotcall.gov site and added in my number. Thx you for your comment, so I was able to see that this happened to others & not just me.

Says the call is from ME, USA. I didn't pick up because I was waking up but I did call back and pressed 1 for wanting to pick up my reward. I knew that there was like a 95% this was a scam once I heard the automated message but pressed forward with curiosity. The guy asked for my name and zip code which I gave to him. He then said that I won all these gifts due to visiting one of their affiliated websites. Stuff like a visa card, gas card, and a rewards cards. All I needed to do was pay for S&H and give my credit card number to pay for it. I proceeded to ask what was the affiliated website, and he said for MY PRIVACY he couldn't tell me what the website was. At that point I hung up. THIS HAS SCAM WRITTEN ALL OVER IT. BE AWARE OF THIS SCAM.

This is a collection agency in WA state with three aliases, RPM, Recovery Performance Management and Receivable Performance Management. In my case they bought a really, really old debt - an unauthorized credit card charge that I refused to pay. Even though it is the law the CCD co. refused to remove it and my solution then is to refuse to pay my entire bill since they are going to nag me and crap up my credit anyway. RPM is trying to make some easy money I'd say.

Caller asked for me but I wouldn't identify because she refused to give company name. Stated repeatedly it was "personal business" and she would contact the "home" number. I did receive 2 calls from the same number on my "home" phone but did not answer. Who is this creep?

"Christy" calls and claims you won a 2017 Ford Explorer. Really, how many is she going to give away? 100,000 cars? I think it is some kind of trick or scam. For all I know they might even lure you into a big building and make you listen to a two-hour sales presentation.
