She said she was following up on our copier (which had just been delivered a week before) and asked for a number on it. I told her I couldn't find what number she wanted so she asked what the model was and then asked for the brand. When I asked where she was calling from she hung up.

Totally bogus crap! I have, for well over 2 years now, received phone calls from these scammers claiming that I owe a debt and want to set up payment arrangements to do so. Sometimes they're pleasant, sometimes they scream, yell, swear, threaten. They've claimed that I will be arrested that day if I don't pay or set up short-term repayment. This is just one of many numbers the idiots use. They call my work and tell whoever answers that I will be arrested, that I'm being investigated for fraud or theft, that I refuse to pay my bills. Thankfully, my work laughs it off.

Someone called from this number last night to say I'd won 1.2 million but had to call back to a number he provided, which was the same number he called on according to caller display. He called back the next morning to ask why I hadn't called in as requested, and that the package was waiting to be delivered. When I said I was busy he became very aggressive during the call. At that point he said he'd pass me on to his "CEO" but instead of playing along I hung up.
Very clearly a scam. UPS won't be calling to let someone know they won something as that responsibility would belong to the company giving out the prize. And, of course, I haven't entered any contest or prize draw worth that much.

The same exact thing happened to me! I did not give her my name when she asked, but asked he why she didn't have my copiers ID number on file. She hung up.I hate these calls! So many scam artists so little time.
