I was contacted by the DHWA Inc two days ago and was told I did not pay for some air fresheners that were ordered back in Dec of 2011 . The purchase price was $49.99 with 18 months of late fees adding up to $230.00 I told the curt lady on the phone that I was being shamed. I was then told a report would be sent to a collection agency and my credit rating would be effected. Many items have been purchased from this co. in the past and am now disappointed in their lack of ethics It goes with saying that I will no longer be giving them any of my time or money

I too am being told that I ordered light bulbs from 2 years ago. Never ordered, never rec'd and told just last night that it's going to a collection agency. What should I do and what did you do and who do I contact about this false accuations. Something has to be done about this. I see that I'm not the only one that is being harrassed.

I was told I owed for light bulbs I ordered back in 12/14/09. They say since I didn't pay I owe for interest from then until now plus for the light bulbs. If I didn't pay I would be turned over to collections and there would be a court date. Then she wished me luck and hung up.

I was contacted today 12/15/11 by Disadvantaged and Handicapped Workers of America in house collections department telling me I had purchased lightbulbs in 2009 and they were going to turn me over to outside collections. When I began asking questions, the girl would not answer and said she would turn me over to collections. I asked to speak to her susperviser and this woman was hostile and told me she didn't care if I paid the debt or not, she was turning it over to collections and that they would come after me and my property to satisfy the debt. She hung up on me. They never gave me an amount just that they had a recording of me placing the order and that their legal dept had all the proof. Since I did not place the order and the call was so odd I assume it was a scam of some type.

Same thing happened to me on 11/11/11. When I called back I asked to talk to a supervisor and she told me what I owed and I said I'd never have agreed to a $124 donation to buy anything. She told me to check my records. Well I did a google search on them and found oodles of incidents like this so I'm just going to ignore it and if they call again I'll tell them what I found!

I was called in October of 2011 and told that I had purchased lightbulbs in December 2009 and had failed to pay for them. If I didn't pay for them immediately they would send me to collections. Since my husband and I did not purchase these lightbulbs we refused to pay. The conversation went on and when I was asking for information to prove we had purchased and that they had tried to contact us in the last two years, I was hung up on...twice. They say all our info is now in the legal department so they can't get it to me. The original purchase price was $89.00 and had gone up to $223.98 due to late fees and interest. We didn't pay, we will wait to see if we here more.
