This all sounds very familiar but the lady that called me said her name is Tammy Nelson, called a family member and said they need a statment from me to get my side of the story... Real Law firms dont disclose private case information to third parties from my understanding due to privacy and protection laws...

This woman left 2 threatening messages on my phone this morning. When I asked for mailing address so I could send certified letter she said for security purposes they don't give it out. I wonder why.
I am going to file suit against them right after a cease and desist order.

My advice would be to
1) STOP SENDING THEM MONEY & ask them to send you a letter with the information of the "said bill" to your records (they normally will) & I've also had some agencies tell me they "can't send me any letter for my records that they have already sent me a letter" & I then tell them "well if you can't satisify my request for a letter then I can't satisify your request for payment....good day"
2)REVIEW your 3 credit reports, if you don't already know you can request free copies annually at.....AnnualCreditReport.com - It's the only official site explicitly directed by Federal law to provide them.
I've reviewed mine & disputed a few, too I've gone through my report (starting with the smaller amounts) & contacted the collection agency to see if they will offer a "settlement offer" which I've been lucky at a few so far that have so I've been working my way to paying off debt, try it & see how it works for you :)

NICE TRY LADY.....Received a call at work this morning, the receptionist said it was a lady by the name of "ERICA JONES W/THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA FRAUD INVESTIGATION UNIT", I've never been to SC so immediately I knew it had to be a collections call. I picked up the call & told her I would take a message for her so again she says...."my name is ERICA JONES W/THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA FRAUD INVESTIGATION UNIT the phone she can reach me at is 843-637-8626".....now this is how fraudlant can this be when you are claiming to be the STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA FRAUD INVESTIGATION UNIT!!!
Not going to say I don't have any overdue debts that are needing to be paid because I do & am working my way to paying it off but my choice to start from the bottom being the smallest to the largest NO THEIRS, so in due time all my debt will be paid off :)
So thanks Chrissy for your information, if & when I get collection calls I immediately serach the phone numbers that come on the Caller ID on the internet so that I bust them in their lies LOL!

She has been harassing us stating fraud even after money was paid but a little amount yet she will not answer the phone for us to make the last payment.

Until I did a local search of South Carolina's payday loan laws...I was scared out of my mind. Erica Jones called threaten me to pay back a loan I got two years ago. I had been getting threaten calls all week. The Erica Jones is a real piece of work. Whoever she this person is, she indicated that if I didn't pay what was owed she was sending the police to my home. I have not worked for two years, but when I took out the loan I was working. The first call received my new employer to be took it, and the person named Mr. Smith told him that I was apart of a fraud investigation. This person told my new employer this lie, and I had to sit for two hours trying to explain this. I will be seeking legal counsel. I plan on taking care of the debt, but I did not commit any kind of fraud.
