Fake DEA call. Confronted caller as being fraud. He resopnded with vulgar threats and then hung up. Do Not Be Fooled real DEA does not call and/or behave in such fashion. Caller is using YMAX (Magic Jack) phone and thus is probably calling from outside US or location other than that of where phone is registared.

This person claims to be a Special Agent from the DEA, says that you have purchased drugs from foreign countries and you must pay thousand of dollars or go to Federal prison or worse. They are using MagicJack to extort People. I called the President of MagicJack and told him what their customer was doing and got a call back from one of their customer reps who was very concerned about being dragged into a Federal investigation. I also called the DEA and gave them Magic Jack's number so they could issue a subpoena as Magic Jack knows who opened the account. I suggest everyone who has gotten calls contact MagicJack's CEO at

This guy said his name was Joseph Aravibic (sp?) and was from the DEA asking to speak with my husband stating he had "purchased illegal drugs online and was being investigated." When I didn't cooperate he threatened to "bring me in to show me what obstruction of justice was all about." When I told him I would not give the satisfaction of scamming me out of money, he said he "would see me shortly when he came to arrest me." He then hung up on me.....what an idiot! I will be calling my local sheriff's dept to report him. The # that showed up on my caller ID was 713-287-1027.
