I got 10 calls in two weeks from this number, and they always hung up. Finally, today someone answered on the other end. They claim to be Meridian Health Solutions and specialize in pain management. I had them on the phone for about 12 minutes, talking very slowly, taking time to look up my doctor's and pharmacy's phone numbers and giving them my DOB and all of the numbers from my medical card.
Of course, all of the info I gave them was completely bogus (made up on the spot and written down in case they asked for a repeat). They promise to call back if there are any problems, so I'll save the paper with the info I gave them and if asked to verify any particular number, I'll change a '3' to an '8' ("sorry, I have an eye exam appointment next week...").
Here's the tricky part: I'll try to string them along as long as possible but still get a mention of the National Do-Not-Call Registry in before they hang up. GREAT SPORT, and, at this point, costing these scum time and money is the only way they will realize that their business model is no longer valid. If enough folk engage and punk them, at some point they will start hanging up on actual suckers and whatever profit margin they have will dry up. TOO MUCH FUN...!
