I received a phone call (warning that I would be served) much like what you all are reporting. When I called back, I was told I owe money to a company that does not even have a location in my state. This first time I called, I spoke to a woman who described herself as a "glorified receptionist." She told me who I supposedly owed money to and for how much. She offered to transfer me (when I told her I was confused and needed more information) but I was on my lunch so I told her I would call back later. When I called back later in the day I spoke to Brian. When he saw I had called earlier he seemed annoyed that I was still asking for information. He said that "I already knew everything." When I told him that the call and debt didn't make sense, he asked for my social security number. I said, "I'm not giving you my social security number." He replied, "Then I can't help you ma'am, go ahead and get served," and hung up on me. I called back again and when I asked for the full name of the company so that I could register a complaint, he said "Go ahead, it's Global," and hung up on me again. This is obviously not legit. I am planning on investigating this throughly. Oh, the "glorified receptionist" told me the company was located in California.
