Received a call from an unknown caller said his name was David Anderson (of course not) and said I was selected to receive a government grant for $9,400. Asked about my banking account and if I had a visa card. And then went on asking about my job (he actually had some of my work info.) He went on to mention my home address, I told him what he had was correct (of course he was WRONG!) I just went with it. I told him I wasn't going to give him any account information. If I had to pay for the money, to just take it out of the money he was giving me. He said he couldn't do that, then I said write me a check and send it to me, he said "I'm not authorized to do that!" He said he could western union it to me, but I had to call his verification manager. I said what's his name, he gave me like 3 names all ran together, I asked which one is it? He said to take it serious, don't you need this money for bills, debt and other things, well then call 253-271-4485, I said I hope you're not scamming (of course I knew he was) cause yes I can use the money, so I called and no one answered - of course! I know he didn't plan for that call to go that way....

Said I got a government grant for $7,000, and all I need to do was go to the nearest place, in which was Wal-Green. He wanted me to get a green dot card to send $200 dollars. I didn't go for it. If I'm receiving a grant from the government, why do I have to pay for it? I don't need it, if I got to pay for it.

My daughter got a call from these people and since she was trying to find a grant for school she thought she was lucky to have someone try to help her. She had just started college and these people said she had qualified for this loan or grant. They wanted $250 at first but she is on welfare and could not pay that. She told them all she had was $70.00 and for her to get a green dot card and give them the number. Well she did all this and then they wanted $350 more. My daughter is in tears at this point and just wanted her money back. They said the are keeping her money on hold till she can come up with the other cash. My daughter suffers from PTSD and was so upset that she had allowed this scam thinking she was actually getting help. We need someone's help! Please! We have Two other numbers that were used also in this whole scam operation. We are just devastated as she is on welfare and trying to better herself for her and her two kids.
253-842-6561 and 347-434-2018 these were the other numbers that were used in this scam.

Was asking me about the application for a grant that i filled out. Told him i did not and he got rude and states "Are you kidding me!? and kept repeating it and i told him that these people keep calling and to keep from harrassing me. and hung up.
