Received a call from (210) 485-5143 on my cell. Caller identified himself as Gary Stevens with the IRS Audit Department. He explained that "research" showed I owed money for unpaid taxes from '08-'12. He said that two registered letters sent to my house last year had been ignored and that this was the last day for me to avoid arrest, court, etc. He said that I could pay now but that a transfer would be required - no checks, etc. I wasn't immediately aware that this was a scam but while I'm on the phone I Googled the number on my caller ID and this website, among others, came up. He knew my name, my cell number, and my home address which is scary. Finally, I told him that I wanted to do right by the IRS but I was curious as to why a website like this would pop-up when Googling his phone number and he immediately hung up.

He called saying that he got a notice that I had 4 violations and he gave me a supposed case number and asked if I had a lawyer. I said I did and he wanted the lawyer's info and if I didn't take this seriously 'the cops' would pick me up tomorrow! He said he could help save me.
