Identifies himself as Jame Pierce
Claims Xcel Energy is not accepting EFT and gives instructions for a cash payment before the shut down team cuts power in 45 minutes.
I called Xcel, confirmed my account and Xcel rep was pleasant and opened an investigation. Rep quickly called back and confirmed the scam.
Reported to Saint Paul Police, they sent a officer over to investigate and take a statement.

Caller said they were a rep from nyseg,our local electric company,and due to a large outstanding bill,service would be cut off in 45 minutes. Demanded a payment thru green dot or similar western union type machine. Total scam don't do it!! They are calling everywhere.
