Similar situation. I first got a call about owing money to a credit card company I have not done business with in 20 years. I do not owe this CC company, and even if I did it would be way past the statute of limitations. I have excellent credit and have not been hiding from anyone. Any claim could have been resolved years ago when I still had supporting paperwork. This is an illegal collection scam.

They just started calling me about 2 weeks ago. They have my ss# and are threatening me with a law suit and court. I do not owe the company they claim I owe. When I told the girl to stop calling and harassing me she started yelling at me and threatening me more.

I keep receiving the same exact message as all the others. I myself owe no body filed bankruptcy back in 2012. This John Stratton left the number 888-259-2437 telling me I have 48 hours to respond. Their CRAZY!!!!

they kept saying show me the receipt so i said if i pay you will you send it to me, oh yes write away i payed the bill and they e mailed a receipt minutes later then i promptly canceled payment so who's the smart one now.scam the scammer.ha ha ha
