I had this same call today! She said I owed $700+ including late fees but if I paid about $300 today I would get a letter stating that this was resolved. This was all from over 9 years ago. I had a different phone number as well. I told her that I wanted all of the paperwork she was stating that I owed. She told me it was sent to another address, which I know is a lie because I am given every piece of mail from that address. She then got offensive and said well you were sent all these documents multiple times I will allow them to take action on you. Then she hung up on me. People in those types of jobs do not get offensive and they do not hang up on people. So this has to be a scam it is sad!

Caller said legal action was being filed against me for a magazine contract I broke in 2010. She stated I owe $700+ and that I could settle with her for $327. I looked up their accreditations online, and they have none. I told her they would have to contact my attorney because he will be representing me and she said he would have to fax over his letter of representation. I never received the magazines and I canceled the subscription through the magazine company. How can they collect on a debt? Heard it is a scam, therefore, I will wait and see if they file a lawsuit.
