DO NOT GIVE ANYONE YOUR CREDIT/DEBIT CARD INFO...EVER!!!
This automated message said that my debit card from MidSouth Bank may have a hold put on it due to a suspicious attempted use. I was directed to call back to verify my identity. I do not have any accounts with that bank, so I called back with the intention of having my phone number disassociated with whatever debit card/account they were calling about. It was an automated system identified as MidSouth Bank Security Department. The only way to speak to anyone, including an operator, was to put in "your 16-digit card number." After 3 requests for my number, instead of giving an option to speak to an operator, the message said to call back when I have my card number ready; then it hung up.
