Call was on my work ID so I called it back. Found out that it was from a Gulf Bay Inc. saying I was entered into a $1 million sweepstakes because I was a credit card holder. They wanted to send a confirmation letter out and asked my name and address (which I gave). He said I had won a diamond watch and wanted to send it to me BUT I had to accept a selection of a magazine in return. That's when I said NO NO NO magazines. Then he told me it was a packaged deal.
It's not a scam but a FRONT for getting you to subscribe to magazines at a discounted price. The person I spoke with in detail was Mike Febreezio. He said as long as I did NOT commit then there was nothing to worry about.
He said that if they were straightforward about why they were calling, then they would not get people to listen as much as they do by saying all this other bull crap beforehand.
Giving my name and address is nothing. You can get that anywhere BUT I NEVER NEVER give any of my personals over the phone and I do NOT pledge over the phone
