Spoke to three different men (all Indian or Arab accents) claiming to be from the IRS and/or the Department of Legal Affairs in Los Angeles. Told me I didn't pay my taxes on time. Said I would be arrested and held for six months, lose all my property, etc. Kept waiting for the catch, like give me a credit card number, make payments or something, but at the end he just said, "So prepare to be arrested."

Just received the same call that Lori mentioned. His name was Mark and said he was calling from the Department of Legal Affairs. Said I ignored their letters and calls (which I never received), ignored the IRS agent who apparently came to my house, yet didn't leave any notice, and now I should prepare to get arrested, in jail for 6 months, and will lose everything. I explained that I never received any notice from the IRS. He explained that this is a private matter between the Dept of Legal Affairs and the IRS and I shouldn't have ignored their calls and letters. I said that this is illegal, asked for his name and company info - then he immediately hung up.
