I got a call then as text saying "I'm on my way" from this #. When i texted bk to ask who it was, I got this text back "9789658961 is a landline #. Reply Y to send all TXT messages to this # as voice messages for 0.25/msg. + std msg fee. Details @ vtext.com, TexttoLandline. Yet when I text my landline this msg isn't generated. When I called: NO entity name, just an automated greeting with menu of options from "taking with a representative" to " leaving voicemail" to "getting info on complaining to the FTCabout them.

Called four times yesterday, left no message and name ID is "unknown name." Same today, unknown name and same number. By noon today I received four calls already! I don't know if it's a scammer or collection agency. They do not leave messages. I do not answer numbers that I do not know or "unknown name" calls. I do not owe any money. I am a senior and have received scam calls in the past. I have received messages that I won cars, $10,000, gift cards to retail stores and free trips. I Ido not return any of these calls.

I got a call from 202-379-2892 but no one left a message. I used Google Voice on my laptop and an out of state number to call 202-379-2892 and the message I got was that I had reached Protocall Communications a call center in Laurel, MD and if I wanted to be placed on a Do-Not-Call list then I should press 1 or call 301-361-1111.

Plus at least 6 more ‘unknown’ using 4 to 12 numbers in phone number between August 26, 2013 and January 9, 2014. I erased these numbers after answering 2 of them and finding they were the same company, based in India and scammers I was taken in by in August.
I have had my Mastercard number changed twice since August 2013. First after paying them $107.00 for ‘computer clean-up’ program which messed up the computer in August and once after they ‘wanted to ‘repay’ the $107.00 because the company was ‘going out of business/the owner died/Microsoft was forcing them to pay or face a $3000.00 fine’ in November.
In November 2013 Mastercard called me to say that Glitterstechnosoft was trying to get into the old card and withdraw $169.00 so changed the number again. I have had at least 3 calls every week, at all hours, from unknown/ private/weird number callers since November.
Blocking these numbers does no good. They seem to have access to hundreds of numbers using whichever area code they want.
