Left me a voice message from a hospital stating that I have an appointment in two days. The hospital did not know anything about my appointment (that was correct as I did not have an appointment with the hospital).
When I dialed the caller ID number, I got a person telling me that the IRS has an arrest warrant for me and that I must immediately pay them with a credit card.
I know, from personal experience, that the IRS contacts you by snail mail to discuss tax matters. I'm pretty certain that they could not arrest me without some kind of court proceedings. THIS IS A SCAM.
BTW, The IRS's process for reporting this scam is so convoluted (nothing but voice messages and multiple types of IRS forms to fill out) that I gave up on reporting this number to them.
