Once I logged in to my laptop, the pop-up with a security warning along with voice recording saying to call 877-507-4617 to remove the virus(es). Not sure what to do but exited and called Microsoft. I was told that the laptop was infected. Not sure what to do when I was told that they could fix it within 20 minutes to 1 1/2 hours by paying $99 for 30-day service for just the laptop only. Therefore, by using the same Network, the home computer is infected as well as I was told.

Message came across my computer to call this number: 1-877-507-4617 they wanted to put a program on my computer to fix a virus. I asked why were they calling and not Microsoft. He said that I would be to much for Microsoft to handle individual computers. So I said you want to download something on my computer, he answered well if you let me. I hung up. But it seems like they are in my computer as this just popped-up on my screen.

Page pop-up generates fake virus alert and advises to call 877-507-4617. I did call and could hear a pretty major call center sweat shop in the background. I spoke with an individual who was obviously in a India call center who tried to make me think he was Microsoft. Fraud all over this operation.
