Called claiming to be USPS personnel that had a package I had "won" from PCH.
The scary part was being asked if I was home to receive the package... Especially unnerving in an area with poor security and frequent break-in's and thefts.

He calls claiming to be from Publisher's Clearing House saying you got 3rd place and have won a few million dollars. Turns out you have to pay about $300 in taxes, which you can send via Western Union, before they will release the money to you. Obviously a scam, as PCH doesn't require you to pay any money to receive your money. If you answer a call from him, have a little fun with him like I did :)

I got a phone call and this guy said his name was Jim white.that a Mercedes and 2.5 mill. Will b at my house in one hour how do u feel.I said like u just woke me up.I hung up googled this scam.and then called him back and congratulations u won i googled your scam and contacted better business berau and if u show up at my house the police will be here after I hit you with my baseball bat if u tjry to come inside my home. Don't ever call me again

Someone just called me from this number and I would not have answered but I am expecting a package delivery. The man said he was from Publisher Clearing House and said I won some money and a new car, and gave me another number to call the manager to claim my prize and set up delivery. The name he gave me for the manager was James Chin. Only thing is I have never ordered anything from them so I know I didn't enter a contest. I wish I knew how they got my number, it is a cell phone.
