Reward Redemption Center

First off I knew this was a scam, but I played along with it. First they tell you that you won a gift card from Walmart for 100.00 for participating in some survey for shopping there by a company called reward redemption. I asked them how did they know I shopped at Walmart and he said it was tracked by my debit card from Walmart....Yeah right. Walmart would be getting sued left and right for keeping your personal info and selling it to 3rd parties. Second. They wanted my card number so they can charge me 4.95 to ship it. So I gave them a phony credit card number. Then he said he had to transfer me to another line to get a confirmation number. This is where it got fun, the guy named "Steve" was obviously overseas and made that name up claimed he was in Arizona. I asked why did an 817 # show up which is clearly Fort Worth Texas and he did not know why...SCAM. I asked him what was his website and phone number and as he gave me the number I was calling it on the other line. -800-218-3849. It is a number to a healthcare center. Has NOTHING to do with rewards. He didn't want to give me a website so I googled it...FRAUD! He had the nerve to get angry with me for asking so many questions. Sorry Sir but people in America just don't give out their cc numbers to strangers! The REAL redemption rewards company is aware of this scam and has placed a warning on their website. This is clearly a bunch of idiots overseas somewhere trying to get our banking info. None of them speak good English and I even asked him to cancel the phony transaction just to see what he would say and he said he couldn't because it already been processed. That's funny because I gave him visa prepaid card that was never activated. Good luck w/that one!!
I am on a do not call list but once I updated my resume on Career Builder I have been getting calls from all kinds of scammers overseas. One even trying to send me a check to cash. Keep 30% and send them the rest. They are so STUPID. Please don't be fooled by any of their crap. They are scammers for sure!
