Someone called my phone from this number stating they was investigating me for a check written in 2007 to a car dealership. Then hung up and now not answering the phone. They asked for a payment as if I was just gone do it. Is this a new scam. The number is 512-309-5211

David Moore Called from Investigative Services inquiring about a Ms. Hogwell (not me). I never stated my name or said if I know Ms. Hogwell (I do not). When I asked how he got my number he stated it was part of her case file. When I pushed to better understand what department or agency he worked for, He stated that he calls individuals to help them before their case goes to court. I asked if he was a debt collector. His reply was "Did I say that? Did I ask for money? You have a nice day mama!" Then he hung up. Total Scam!!!
