SCAM....Called my 86 year old grandfather and said they were with the IRS and they had filed a lawsuit against him. Its a scam to put people in panic mode so they will give their credit card number to them to reduce the debt if paid over the phone.

Telemarketers and scammers and hackers latch onto these kinds of numbers and if you are dumb enough to pick up, BAM!
There goes everything in the way of information, personal and otherwise on your systems!
When you pick up you complete the connection and the guy at the other end begins bleeding off data including call lists, finances, etc. That my friends is Identity Theft!
Forget about LifeLock and other so called protectors. Think a moment! You have to GIVE all your data and personal information to them so they can protect it, right?
What if they sell it to someone else or worse yet, they are hacked? BAM! Info's gone for good!
Best way to prevent ID theft is common sense! Don't use ATMs. Don't buy gas with a card at the pump, walk in and pay for it there. Change your pw often and make it strong! Don't leave that pw lying about and don't tell your kids! Make that pw unusual and from a source not easily found when hacking for it! Mine are based on very old and out of date anime, films, TV shows, books, radio series, etc.
