I have been harassed constantly for days by this company who announced I won a 14 day trip for two to the Bahamas and Florida. Only catch is they need $299/person, and I must give them my credit card information immediately over the phone. When I asked if I could call them back, they said it was an outgoing call centre and their 888 number would work, but I would have to pay the full $5000 value of the trip. I asked if they would mail me the information in writing, and the man who called me began swearing and suggesting I thought he was scamming me. I explained I am not giving my credit card info over the phone to someone I can't even call back, and he hung up on me. The company is called WTA or We Tour America. (wetouramerica.com) They have big wonderful claims, but it is indeed a scam. Their travel license expired the day before they called me. If I lived closer to Florida, I'd personally go to their office and show them what I think.
I have received other calls from the same area of the USA (I am in Canada) which are clearly the result of WTA selling my personal information to other telemarketers. I believe this all began when I filled out a ballot a month ago with a company called Tripsetter Inc. which I believe to be affiliated with WTA, however their website was down. (tripsetter.ca) Here is the contact info from the website:
