I attended a presidential fundraiser in North Lake Tahoe and was able to attend a small, elite group of fundraisers for both political parties. One president, Bill Clinton, attended for a short presentation, and then mingled with attendees. I was a large donor to the organization, and wound up getting a phone call from Mr. Clinton about a week later.
I no longer write for Time Magazine, but have stayed in touch with the Clintons. I now live in Seattle.
