I just received a message at my place of business. It was a recording from a man(sounds like a robot) Chase Riley with International Courier Services who tried to deliver something to my home address but I was not available. It then asked me to contact William Michael and Assoc (855) 883-9893 to resolve this matter. No mention of who they were or representing. I called back and some woman who wouldn't even tell me her name said I am in big trouble...haha what a scam
1st, most documents that are legit, will find their way through the mail sysyem to your home address, not by phone call. 2nd, Any legit company will gladly tell you their license# if you ask, and who the debt is owed from , etc.
since you do not get any info from these people, do no be afraid. But also FIGHT BACK!!!

I believe this is a fraudulent scam to get people to pay money over the phone. Little did these guys know, they were talking to an ex-process server. I checked my message, and received a voice mail telling me that they attempted to serve me court papers, and I needed to contact Investigator John Michaels to take care of this serious matter. I called back and asked them repeatedly for their license numbers (as you need a license to be a private investigator, which usually accompanies a process serving company). I knew they were breaking the law. I also asked for their address to send a certified letter, they hung up on me. I called back and asked for an address again and their PI license number, he refused, and I kindly informed him that I will be contacting the sheriff's department and will be reporting them.
They did not come to my home, there was no lawsuit filed against me (public records in Wisconsin, all it took was an internet search). Had I owed a debt and paid it, they would have taken the money over the phone.

I've been getting these calls too for a month now! I never answer and they leave voicemails. "I'm Chase Riley calling you about some CONCERNING paper work that came across my desk", and "we came to your home and you were unavailable" and "Call William Michaels". What the heck. How do I get them to stop calling me? I'm so annoyed. They call me from 214-785-6808.
