Same here. Card services from this number and many others. 360-322-6708 would be another. I selected 1 and asked the operator if i could ask a question before she hung up on me and she immediately hung up. FTC says these are bots that call and if you hit a key they now know it's a real number and will continue to call using various numbers as to not be able to block them all. All scum i'm my opinion. It's has zero to do with your cards or debit you have. Its 100% scam.

I've also called the number back and hit 1 to get removed but all that does is provide them with proof it's a real number. Best thing to do it ignore, hang up with no pushes of buttons and block them if you can (all of the numbers) as they call.

Also call FTC at 877-382-4357 and file a complaint. Yes it's a pain in the arse (automated phone tree) but if they get thousands of calls they might end up going after them like they did last year. FTC said they shut them down last year but they obviously are back at it. Once i got a person on the line it was very quick. He took down some basic info and the numbers. Left me a reference number so use if they call from other numbers. The can end up shutting them down so I would suggest to call and report it.

THE BAD NEWS: Card Services calls aren't going to stop anytime soon.

THE GOOD NEWS: You can retaliate, reduce the misery, and even have some fun.

RETALIATE:

Waste these turkeys' time. Keep them on the line by acting like an interested prospect. Give them bogus data, including a combination of two different credit card numbers, scrambled Social Security digits, and a modified ZIP Code. Important: provide a credit card company's real 800 number.

After they call the credit card company, you can give them the same credit card info as before with two of the numbers transposed, thus causing them to make a second verification call. Or you can respond, "Guess what ... H-O-O-N-N-K-K [from a $6 air horn] you've been PRANKED! Call back tomorrow for more bullshot." Now they're the butt of your joke.

REDUCE THE MISERY:

Landlines. Enroll for the free service at nomorobo.com. Simultaneous ringing, a free feature many providers offer, enables nomorobo to receive, answer and, after one ring, automatically hang up on nuisance telephone numbers.

Cell phones. Block the number, an option that becomes available on the iPhone if you click on the "i" on the right in the list of recent calls and scroll to the bottom. Unfortunately, Card Services will keep calling from new spoofed numbers, which eventually should motivate you to retaliate.

HAVE FUN:

Turning the tables on the perpetrators with mischievous deception and the news they've been duped provides instantaneous vigilante satisfaction. Plus you serve your fellow call recipients by slowing down this evil operation's efforts to defraud them.

They call me SEVERAL TIMES A DAY. I have ZERO credit card debt and have told them this. As soon as I say I have no credit card debt or ask them to stop calling me they just hang up on me. They are obviously wasting their time calling me since I have no credit card debt, but they are also wasting my time every single day. I do not get it and cannot figure out how to make them stop! They often call from different numbers, so unfortunately I cannot just block this one number :(

Often it is a man's voice claiming to be named Barbara. What a joke.

Fight back Jack, that's exactly what I do, but you gave me some new things to try. I usually tell them that I have to lookup my credit card bill to find the current interest rate, then lay the phone down and go for a short walk. Have been gone as much as 15 minutes and came back to the phone and they are still waiting. I would never give my credit card number out, but would give them an invalid number, as you suggested.

Scam is to get the Zip Code first and then say that they need to verify that one account is in good standing with a balance of $4k or more. The then ask for the card number and / or the expiration date. Finally they ask for the card number. Most of the time they will ask for the last four numbers of your Social Security number. Then they put you on hold and check the card using the phone number on the back of the card. I wasted about 15 minutes of their time giving a card that had been replaced. Gave fake zip code and etc. Waste their time if you like however don't give them a real working card number.
