Got the same call yesterday. I call back and the man with a thick Indian/Nigerian accent answered as: IRS, this is Officer Todd Oliver, what is the number you are calling about. Gave him my number and he told me to hold as he is pulling my file. I told him there is another name in the account and He told me the matter only concerned me not my wife. I started laughing and he hung up. Called back 5 minutes later and the same guy answered as Criminal Investigation Officer John Miller...I told him I am recording the call and he start humming like hmmm..hmmm..hmmm. I said to him: You got caught and he cursed at me (FU) and told me come on man, I am from Nigeria, I do what Nigerian do. This is a poor country if you know Nigeria, you will understand what I am doing. Please keep what you know for yourself. I Unbelievable!!!

Had an automated voice message. I didn't call back. They left a message saying, "IRS hotline: 2025686933. Issue is very time sensitive. So before IRS takes any legal action against your name, call your IRS asap." No IRS would call your home. They would mail it out instead. Beware.
