BEWARE OF THIS SCAM

Alex Garcia was attempting to collect on a debt from 2007 statute of limitations is shorter than 5 years in Florida. I googled the number he called from and received similar cases proving it had to be a scam. on top of that the thing that made it look the fishiest was that even if i had this debt still unpaid the statute of limitations had long passed.

Florida's Statute of Limitations

"Florida’s statute of limitations varies for different types of debts. For written contracts such as personal loans, the statute of limitations is five years. So, once this type of debt is more than five years past due, the lender can no longer sue in order to collect owed money. For other debts, the statute is shorter. This is a big time scam that brings in huge dollars from vulernable people. These fraudsters will call you at work, call your friends, and anyone else they can think of. Do not respond, but if you must, tell them that you have retained an attorney and that you are recording the call, and if you receive another attempt from this company, you will press charges. These blood sucking leaches are lower than low, and prey on the people who simply don't know any better.

They said they need to serve me papers and keep calling my girlfriend, but not once have they called me. They also said that they've tried serving me 3 times at home and I'm never there. If this was real wouldn't they have access to me at work?
