Scam.
Just got a call from a "Sam Watson", employee number "ms1959" claiming he is calling from Microsoft first, then from a "Windows support company", then from a "Techno Shield PC". Said they are receiving "messages showing my computer is infected". Asked me to type Windows-R key (which opens a small window to run programs) and to type in a web address in order to "download their software which will check my computer for infections". I wasted about 10 min of his (and mine time). When I told him I was well aware that he is trying to scam me, he told me his father is a police officer. I said "How convenient - your father can put you in jail himself!". He then told me I am stupid and that police will be at MY door in 1/2 hour, eh.
If this happens to you, do try to waste their time - you may be saving some other unsuspecting soul and you may get a chuckle as well.

Claimed he was from Microsoft and that my computer was sending notifications of issues it was having. He said he was calling to assist in fixing the issues. He wanted to know if I was by my computer. I have my certifications in A+, Network+ and Security +, so I told him I am a computer tech and if my computer is having any issues, I will be the one to fix it. He wanted to know when he could call me back to ensure I had resolved the issues. I told him never as it would not be necessary. He then proceeded to tell me that he loved that I was a computer tech and that he loved me and wanted to know if I was single. I told him that I did not have time for his nonsense and hung up.

On a separate ID list, indicators reported the call was from China. When I extracted the call from VM, a garbled, undecipherable male message was left after a prolonged period of silemce.

Caller said he was from Microsoft with a foreign accent wanted me to open my computer so he could fix the problems that they were detecting. I told him that the number he was calling from if I was to call back it would not be in service. He proceeded to tell me he would give me his direct number and I could call him back. He proceeded to argue with me that he was not a fraud and there's a major problem with my computer. s4hn2
