We never answer our phone(s) anymore without referring to Caller I.D. first. These jerks never speak if voice mail picks up so we are saved a lot of grief.
Ringing phones don't bother us anymore -- VM picks up and they hang up -- end of problem -- would like to see them all rot, however.

Introduced himself as "Marv" with a distinct Indian accent. Said they were Microsoft, and that my s/w was expired, and he needed to access my system to "fix" it. Told him I was not interested ande hung up. He called back, enraged that I hung up on him. Told him he was a scammer, and hung up again. He has called 12 more times, and I will not answer him.
